Board Advisory Group

Purpose

The Montana Library Association Board Advisory Group is an advisory body to provide broad policy direction to the Board of Directors. [Bylaws. Article X, Sec. 1] The President is responsible for communicating with the Council. To assist in keeping the Council informed, the Executive Director will provide copies of the agendas and minutes of all Board of Directors meetings to Council members.

Members

The Board Advisory Group shall consist of the Board of Directors, the elected ALA, MPLA and PNLA representatives and the chairs of all committees and interest groups. Other members may be appointed to the Council at the discretion of the President. [Bylaws. Article X, Sec. 2]

Meetings

The Council meets during the annual meeting of the Association. [Bylaws. Article X, Sec. 3] The President is responsible for encouraging Council activities to elicit discussion of Association policy issues.
