TITLE: Conference Planning Committee Co-Chairs

VISION:  

MISSION STATEMENT: The Mission of the Conference Planning Committee is to develop, promote and improve library and information services programs through workshops offered at our annual library conference.

GOALS:

The Conference Planning Committee goal is to plan and organize a successful annual conference.

OBJECTIVES: 

The objective of the Conference Planning Committee is to plan the overall schedule of the annual conference.

  1. Consult with the President and the Local Arrangements Committee Chairs, plan the overall conference schedule, by following the Montana Library Association Conference Planning Timeline. 
  2. Plan and coordinate conference continuing education workshop, seeking input from division chairs, interest group chairs, committee chairs, and others by following the Montana Library Association Conference Planning Timeline. 
  3. Contact division chairs to ascertain the size and type of room required for any separate division meeting, either business or program, whether it will include a meal, and of special requirements, e.g., public address system, equipment, screens, and the like by following the Montana Library Association Conference Planning Timeline. 
  4. Coordinate with the Local Arrangements Committee on all maters regarding the conference program and schedule by following the Montana Library Association Conference Planning Timeline. 
  5. The Co-Chairs are responsible for administering the conference budget in consultation with the Executive Director by following the MLA Conference Planning Timeline. 
  6. No later than the first day of the conference, the Co-Chairs are responsible for identifying and reporting to the President in writing all arrangements workers and other members and individuals who assisted in any way with the conference as well as the names and addresses of individuals, firms, and organizations who made donations and/or extended courtesies to the Association in planning and implementing the conference.
