MLA 2005 Award Winners

 
An Honorary MLA Life Membership was awarded to Karen Strege, former state librarian.
 
The Pat Williams Intellectual Freedom Award was presented to Helena School District 1, represented by Dr. Bruce Messinger, Superintendent, Brenda Nordlund, and Dr. Susan Watne, Coordinator Libraries.Information Media Centers.
 
Trustee of the Year was presented to Janel Tindall, Belgrade Community Library, pictured with Irene Casey, former director.
 
Dennis Parman, Assistant Superintendent of Havre Public Schools was awarded the School Administrator of the Year honors.
 
Co-President of the Friends of the Stillwater County Library, Kathleen Ralph, was selected for the Special Friends of Libraries Award, pictured with Deeanna King, Library Director.
 
Bridgett Johnson, Chair of the Offline Interest Group, accepts the award for Interest Group of the Year.  Pictured with her is Bruce Newell and Rebecca Rule, Offline Bibliotechie of the Year.
 
Dale Alger, from the Roundup Community Library, was chosen as Montana Heritage Project Director Distinguished Librarian of the year.
